Snowmobile Adventures

The countdown to the 2017/18 winter is on. Snowmobile Adventures is planned to open December 14 (weather and conditions permitting).

If you've ever been snowmobiling, you know it's a great way to find fun far from the beaten path. If you haven't, well, it's time you tried. Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is the perfect outfitter for first-timers or seasoned experts. 

Experienced guides and top-of-the-line equipment grant you access to California's greatest playground including: thousands of acres of trails, pristine backcountry, spacious meadows, historic landmarks and lush pine forests.

Located behind the Yodler adjacent to Main Lodge.

PLEASE NOTE: Guests must arrive to Snowmobile Adventures at least 30 minutes before their scheduled ride for payment processing, helmet fitting, safety briefing and to fill out liability forms. If guests arrive late we cannot guarantee a place on the guided tour.

Advanced Booking Activity Cancellation Policy
Once booked, you are able to modify or cancel an activity with the following restrictions: Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled activity will result in a full refund less a $35 cancellation fee; modifications to an existing scheduled activity will also incur a $35 change fee. Modifications or cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled activity date up to 4PM on the day prior will result in an Activity Change Credit being issued for the value of the original activity. Reservations cannot be modified after 4PM on the day prior; cancellations at this point will result in a total forfeit of the cost.

Activity Change Credits are non-refundable and must be redeemed by the end of the winter season. They can be applied towards the purchase of any Mammoth Mountain activity by calling 800.MAMMOTH with at least 24-hours prior to your planned activity

Need to Know

Where is Snowmobile Adventures located?
  • Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is located adjacent to Mammoth's Main Lodge and is the only snowmobile outfit operated by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area.
Are helmets included with the rental?
  • Yes, helmets are included. Rental clothing is also available.
What are the minimum age requirements?
  • Minimum age of tour passenger is 5 years. Minimum age to drive a snowmobile is 16 years old with a driver's license and a parent present.
What type of insurance is provided?
  • Guided tours include $600 deductible insurance. Purchase of additional insurance (only $9 per rental) is recommended. There is no insurance coverage on self-guided rides.

Walk-ins welcome, based on availability. Reservations encouraged. Dates of operation are weather and conditions permitting and are subject to change.
